Skip Ahearn has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and management. Skip started their career in 1993 as a Software Engineer at Raytheon E-Systems St. Petersburg Operations, where they held a secret clearance. Skip then worked at United Defense as a Senior Simulation Engineer, developing real-time input/output applications and providing Distributed Interactive Simulation interfaces. After that, Skip worked as a Software Contractor at Group Technologies, enhancing the graphical user interface of the Automated Communications Engineering Software. Skip then joined AMERICAN SYSTEMS as a Software Contractor, where they played an active role in software proposal efforts and coordinated software teams. Skip founded their own company, Ahearn Software Inc., in 2001, where they served as President and developed military simulators and training tools. Later, they worked as a Software Subcontractor at Cubic Global Defense, designing and implementing programs using agile methodologies. Skip then joined Elbit Systems of America as an Engineering Manager, overseeing a team of 26 software engineers and mentoring software leads. Skip also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Elbit, collaborating with different teams to define program requirements and develop embedded applications. Currently, Skip works at Red 6 as a Principal Software Engineer.

Skip Ahearn received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 1990 to 1993.
