Chris Stocking has extensive work experience in various finance and leadership roles. Chris started their professional career at the United States Competition Climbing Association, where they served as the Director and Chairman of the Competitor Committee, organizing nationwide climbing events and securing corporate sponsorships. Chris then worked as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, taking on leadership responsibilities and organizing community improvement initiatives.
Moving into the corporate sector, Chris joined the Goldman Sachs as an Analyst for three years. Chris later worked at Montana State University and Princeton University Center for Complex Materials as a Summer Research Assistant, conducting experiments and presenting their findings in scientific publications.
Chris then gained financial analysis experience at Amazon, where they served as a Senior Financial Analyst, working on projects related to machine learning, consumer websites, and US hardlines. Chris joined Redfin as a Manager, then progressed to roles such as Senior Manager, Director, and Senior Director within their FP&A and accounting departments. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Finance and Brokerage Strategy at Redfin. Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making.
Chris Stocking completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Utah, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Later, from 2011 to 2012, Chris pursued a Master of Finance degree at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Chris'sfield of study in this program was Finance.
