Rhys Powell

Rhys Powell is a Senior Black Belt in Managed Cloud Solutions at Red Hat since January 2023, previously serving as Team Lead at HM Revenue & Customs for a brief period in late 2022. Rhys has extensive experience as a Kubernetes engineer at Telstra Health, where collaboration with a small team focused on milestone projects occurred, including the migration of Jenkins servers. As Head of Platform at MVF, management of a team of 12 engineers was undertaken, overseeing infrastructure and data platform teams. In earlier roles, Rhys held various leadership positions at Tata Consultancy Services, FICO, MyJobMatcher, and Kainos, demonstrating expertise in technology oversight, cloud engineering, and digital transformation training. Rhys's educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from London Metropolitan University and a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from freeCodeCamp, alongside several technical certifications and qualifications.
