Ashraf Piranie has a strong background in finance and operations, with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the banking industry. Ashraf started their career at Alliance & Leicester in 1989, where they served as the Director of Finance for the Retail Bank for 16 years. In 2005, they joined the Islamic Bank of Britain as the Joint Managing Director and Finance Director, holding this position for two years before moving on to Nottingham Building Society. At Nottingham Building Society, they served as the Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director for a decade. In 2017, they joined The West Brom as the Group Finance & Operations Director, a role they held for six years. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Redwood Bank, a position they assumed in 2023.
Ashraf Piranie completed an MBA degree from Loughborough University from 1989 to 1992. Prior to this, from 1984 to 1986, they pursued Accounting and Finance with ACCA at De Montfort University.
