Elaine Kilgour

Elaine Kilgour is an accomplished leader in translational science and biopharmaceutical research, currently serving as the Head of Translational Science at Redx Pharma since January 2023. Prior to this role, Elaine was the Science Strategy Lead and Team Leader at the Cells and Protein Team within Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute from February 2017 to January 2023. A significant part of Elaine's career was spent at AstraZeneca, where roles included Associate Director of Oncology Translational Science, Project Leader for the Diabetes and Obesity Group, and Associate Director for Lead Discovery Bioscience, contributing to the development of drug candidates and biomarker strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. Earlier positions included leadership roles at the Hannah Research Institute, focusing on metabolism and growth hormone signaling, and postdoctoral research at both the University of Virginia and The University of Glasgow.
