Associate Principal Scientist at Redx Pharma

Nicola Hamilton is an Associate Principal Scientist at Redx Pharma, specializing in the development and execution of bespoke cascades for small molecule screening and investigating mechanisms of action, while identifying new targets for drug discovery projects since April 2021. Previously, as a Senior Scientist at Redx Pharma, Nicola gained extensive experience in various assay formats including HTRF and SPR. From March 2011 to March 2021, Nicola served as a Senior Bioscientist at the Drug Discovery Unit, Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, contributing to teams that identified inhibitors licensed to IDEAYA Biosciences and Stemline Therapeutics, and developed cascades for small molecule screening. This role followed a tenure as a Bioscientist where Nicola developed biochemical and cell assays. Earlier experience includes serving as a Cell Culture Scientist at AstraZeneca. Nicola holds a Master of Science degree focused on Syntaxin 16 from the University of Glasgow, complemented by previous research and undergraduate degrees in molecular functions and biochemistry, respectively.
