Adam Prell has a wealth of experience in the GIS and operations management fields. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Geographic Information System Technician II at Kern County Fire. In this role, they piloted an intensive project to produce preincident digital and paper maps for use in emergency situations. Adam also provided GPS technical support, updated, maintained, and created spatial databases, and compiled high volumes of raw GPS field data for spatial data creation and management. Adam was also certified for GIS Specialist for Emergency Response (GISS) through the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. From 2012 to present, they have worked as an Operations Manager at RedZone. In this role, they have managed the delivery of near real-time natural disaster analysis for customers, collaborated with the software development team to ensure proprietary software meets scoping and technical requirements, partnered with clients to map and analyze their asset data, designed and improved end-user mapping products, data sources, and processes through custom tools and strategic SOPs, designed maps and data to evaluate prospective clients for pilot programs, and provided internal and end-user training. Adam has also regularly contrived creative marketing presentations, maps, and documents.
Adam Prell obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse between 2004 and 2008. In 2010, they obtained the S-341: GIS Specialist for Incident Management (GISS) certification from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. From 2011 to 2013, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the University of Southern California.
