Derek Schutte

Derek Schutte is an accomplished operations professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Refined Technologies since February 2016, Derek previously held the role of Operations Manager within the same company. Prior experience includes a solid tenure at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) from July 2008 to February 2016, where Derek excelled as the Major Projects/Commissioning Lead Operator, overseeing the commissioning and startup of several significant projects including the DRU2/Vac Unit and the DCU Expansion Project. Earlier in the career, Derek worked as a Process Operator and 4th Class Power Engineer, focusing on the commissioning and operation of key facilities such as the Diluent Recovery Unit and Delayed Coking Unit.
