Ned Horning is a seasoned expert in remote sensing and geospatial analysis with extensive experience spanning over four decades. As a Principal Scientist at Regen Network Development from March 2022 to June 2024, Ned focused on advancing scientific research. Prior to this, Ned served as the Director of Applied Biodiversity Informatics at the American Museum of Natural History for 18 years, where responsibilities included managing research staff and developing new analytical methods while contributing to publications. From July 1993 to February 2002, Ned operated as a private consultant, delivering international geospatial and remote sensing support to various organizations including NASA and the World Bank. Earlier in the career, Ned was a Senior Scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, leading significant projects related to satellite image processing and environmental monitoring. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University and a postgraduate diploma in Forest Survey from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Science.
