Cory Kays has been working in the aerospace industry since 2011. Cory began their career as a Research Assistant at the MIT Aerospace Computational Design Laboratory, where they developed an Excel-based conceptual design MDAO tool for Boeing's BWB aircraft configuration. In 2013, they became a Technical Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they developed a multidisciplinary, medium-fidelity model for analysis of a novel small satellite design. Cory also held roles as an Aeronautical Research Engineer and Project Engineer at Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation that same year. In 2020, they joined Cornerstone Research Group, Inc. as a Research Engineer, and in 2021, they were appointed Performance Lead at REGENT.
Cory Kays attended Madison Central High School from 2003 to 2007. Cory then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2011. Cory then returned to the same institution to complete a SM in Aeronautics and Astronautics from 2011 to 2013.
