Marianne Bengtson Løvendorf completed their education at the University of Copenhagen. Marianne Bengtson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biomedicine in 2007, followed by a Master's degree in the same field from 2007 to 2010. Marianne Bengtson pursued further studies at the University of Copenhagen and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Skin and noncoding RNA biology from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained certifications in Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for study site staff in 2012, Training for handling/offering for transportation of dangerous goods in 2011, and Laboratory Animal Sciences, Category C in 2008 from the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA) and the Danish Ministry of Justice. Marianne Bengtson Løvendorf also attended a course on Laser-Capture Microdissection (LCM) of skin samples at The Rockefeller University in 2012.
