Anne Byriel Walls

Anne Byriel Walls is an Associate Professor at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen since October 2019, and a Clinical Pharmacist at Region Hovedstadens Apotek since November 2018. Prior roles include Project Coordinator for a research project on brain metabolism in hepatic encephalopathy at the University of Copenhagen and temporary Associate Professor from 2007 to 2018, focusing on brain glutamate dehydrogenase and its implications in hyperammonemia and hepatic encephalopathy. Anne holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a degree in Pharmaceutical sciences from Danmarks Farmaceutiske Universitet. Anne's extensive research background includes investigating cerebral energy homeostasis and the role of glycogen in brain function.
