Currie Russell

Currie Russell, A.A.E., is an experienced professional in aviation management with a focus on safety and operational excellence. Currently serving as the Airport Construction Operations Coordinator at Region of Waterloo International Airport since August 2021, Russell also holds the position of President at Acclivix Inc., providing expertise in safety management and training. Previous roles include Manager of Toronto Pearson Safety at Greater Toronto Airports Authority, where Russell developed safety strategies for a complex airport community, and Manager of APEX in Security at Airports Council International. Russell's foundational experience began at Region of Waterloo International Airport, where a comprehensive background in regulatory affairs and safety management was established. In addition to practical experience, Russell has contributed to education by instructing various aviation courses at Georgian College.
