J. R. Malbrough

J. R. Malbrough is a dedicated educator and athletic director with extensive experience in the field of education and sports. Currently serving as a Social Studies Educator and Athletic Director at KIPP Nashville Public Schools since July 2022, J. R. has previously held roles as a speaker for various events since October 2016, a Fellow at Facing History and Ourselves from January 2020 to November 2023, and as an Athletic Director and Educator at Lead Brick Church from July 2019 to July 2022. With a solid background as a High School Teacher and Head Track & Field Coach at MLK College Prep High School from June 2014 to July 2019, J. R. has a strong focus on student engagement, coaching, and academic performance. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Education from Lipscomb University.
