Chris Mathie

Chris Mathie is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at the Regional District of Nanaimo since November 2021, Chris manages municipal wastewater capital projects and provides technical support for various capital initiatives. Previously, Chris held positions at Allnorth Consultants Limited as an Electrical Engineer, and at Co-op Refinery Complex as Team Lead in Instrument Engineering and later as an Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer. Early career experience includes roles at SaskPower, Vecima Networks, International Road Dynamics, SaskEnergy, and IBM Canada Ltd. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology.
