Sarah Nixon

Sarah Nixon is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and Acting General Manager of Corporate Services at the Regional District of Nanaimo since September 2022. Prior to this role, Sarah held various leadership positions at the Municipality of North Cowichan, including Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, where significant operational and strategic leadership was provided across multiple municipal service areas. Sarah’s extensive background also includes positions as Employee Relations Specialist within the BC Public Service, Human Resources Manager and Labour Relations Lead at Coast Hotels, and various roles in human resources and organizational development across multiple organizations. Sarah holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Strategic Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, both from the University of Victoria.
