Elena Macrides

Elena Macrides is an experienced legal and strategic professional currently serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Regis Resources Ltd since May 2020. With a strong background in governance, Elena held the position of Non-Executive Director at Foundation Housing Ltd from October 2011 to November 2023, where responsibilities included chairing the Governance, Nominations, and Remuneration Committee, as well as serving on the Finance, Risk, and Compliance Committee. Prior to this, Elena worked as an independent consultant specializing in strategy and project management across various sectors, and gained significant experience at Rio Tinto in commercial advisory roles related to housing and community asset development. Elena's career began at Ashurst as a lawyer, followed by roles in strategy at RAC WA and consultancy at Boston Consulting Group. Elena holds an MBA from The University of Western Australia, a Company Directors Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has participated in the Director Pipeline Project.
