Derek Hanson

Derek Hanson has over a decade of experience in the technology industry. Derek is currently working as the Founding Head of Systems Engineering at Regrello, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to this, Derek worked at Demandbase from 2015 to 2021, holding various roles including VP of Data Engineering, Senior Director of Engineering, Data Science Architect, Data Scientist, and Senior Engineer. Before joining Demandbase, Derek worked as a Data Engineer at WhoToo in 2015 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Switch Inc. from 2014 to 2015. Derek's career began in 2008 as a Programming Assistant at the Social Development Research Group, where they implemented research instruments and built an automatic survey creator. Overall, Derek's expertise lies in data engineering, systems engineering, and software development.

Derek Hanson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University. This educational endeavor took place from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in December 2013.
