Bernard Wong

Bernard Wong's work experience begins in 2014 as a Developer Intern at Funetics, where they developed a web crawler using Python and worked on full-stack web app development.

In 2015, they joined Edumedia Group as a Software Developer, where they led a small team, implemented CI/CD processes, and worked on full-stack development projects using React.js, Flask, Python, and C++. Bernard also implemented AWS-centered architecture, deploying Docker containers on Elastic Beanstalk and using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

From 2016 to 2019, Bernard worked at Fluent Commerce, starting as a Software Engineer and later transitioning to a Site Reliability Engineer role. As a Software Engineer, they worked on full-stack development projects using React.js, Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres. As a Site Reliability Engineer, they focused on improving system reliability and performance.

In 2019, Bernard joined PLAYGROUND XYZ as a DevOps Engineer, where they built cloud-based networking using AWS and GCP, transformed monolithic services into cloud-native architectures, and implemented application performance monitoring and tracing.

In 2021, Bernard moved to Workit Spaces as a Senior DevOps Engineer, and in 2022, they joined Regrow Ag in the same role.

Bernard Wong's education history begins with their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, which they earned from Shandong University of Technology in the years 2005 to 2009. Bernard then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Modern Chinese History from Shanghai Normal University from 2009 to 2012, specializing in Political Thought and Intellectual History in Modern China. Finally, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Information Technology degree in Computer Software Engineering at UNSW between 2013 and 2015.
