Benjamin Aplin has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 with a role as Development Associate at Trickle Up. Benjamin then moved to the National Urban League as Research Manager. In 2009, they became Director of Foundation Relations at The Hunger Project, followed by Director of Institutional Advancement at International Coalition of Sites of Conscience in 2011. In 2015, they began working as a Freelance Web Developer at HQ Creative and also enrolled in a Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly. In 2016, they became a Web Developer at Sleep Solutions & Services - S3. In 2018, they moved to EvidenceCare as a Software Engineer II, and in 2020 they became a Full Stack Engineer at Development Guild DDI. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Reify Health.
Benjamin Aplin obtained their MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University in 2007. In 2015, they attended General Assembly for Web Development Immersive. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature, General from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2002.
