Vatsal Thakkar, M.D. has a long and varied work experience. In 1999, they were a Photography Exhibits for the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. In 2002, they became an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In 2003, they were a Regional Finalist for the WHITE HOUSE FELLOWS FOUNDATION. In 2006, they joined NYU Langone Health as a Clinical Assistant Professor, and also became the Director of the GME Wellness Team, providing free, on-site, and confidential consultations for physicians-in-training. In 2007, they founded Solstice Psychiatric Consulting, P.C. and served as a Psychiatrist. In 2008, they became a Technical Consultant for Practice Fusion. In 2011, they founded Solstice Psychiatric Consulting, LLC and served as a Psychiatrist. In 2016, they founded Reimbursify and served as Founder & Chief Innovation Officer, Founder, President, and Chief Medical Officer, and Founder & CEO. In 2018, they became a Fellow/Author for Doximity.

Vatsal Thakkar, M.D. received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology & Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1993. Vatsal then attended The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and obtained their M.D. degree in 1998. Vatsal completed their Psychiatry Residency Program at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2002.
