Lorenzo Viola

Lorenzo Viola has a diverse work experience in data engineering and bioinformatics. Lorenzo is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Moody's Analytics CRE since January 2022. Prior to that, Lorenzo held the same position at realxdata from April 2021 to December 2021. Lorenzo also worked as a Data Engineer at realxdata from July 2019 to April 2021. Lorenzo has a background in research as well, having completed an internship at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche from March 2019 to May 2019, where they worked on protein interaction networks and genetic epistasis detection. Additionally, they completed their Msc Thesis in Bioinformatics at the Technical University Munich from October 2018 to March 2019, focusing on epistasis detection in genome-wide association studies using high-performance GPUs.

Lorenzo Viola obtained a High School Diploma from Liceo Scientifico G.B. Grassi (Latina) between the years 2009 and 2013. Lorenzo then went on to pursue their Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science from Sapienza Università di Roma from 2013 to 2016. Lorenzo subsequently continued their education at the same university, completing a Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science from 2016 to 2019.
