Brian Hughes, PMP

Brian Hughes, PMP, has over two decades of work experience in various roles related to program management, project coordination, and technical consulting. Brian is currently working at Relative Dynamics Inc. as a Program Manager for NASA and NOAA, where they manage high-priority projects and provides business development support.

In their previous role at FlightProfiler, LLC, Brian served as a Consulting Meteorologist, specializing in aviation weather and risk analysis. Brian was responsible for developing weather analysis tools and providing flight route planning support.

Prior to that, Brian worked at I. M. Systems Group Inc. (IMSG) as a Program Manager, supporting the NOAA/NWS/NCEP Environmental Modeling Center. Brian supervised a team of scientific and programming experts and provided project management support.

Brian also has experience working at Noblis, where they led a team of subject matter experts in satellite ground system operations. Brian provided recommendations and solutions for improving operations efficiency and reducing costs.

Before joining Noblis, Brian worked at Unisys as a Program/Product Manager and Director, responsible for driving the Weather Unit business and operations. Brian implemented modernization efforts and managed federal and commercial contracts.

Brian's earlier experience includes working at NOAA, where they held multiple positions, including Data Operations Manager for the GOES-R Ground Systems Program, Physical Scientist and User Services Team Lead, Operations Manager for the Satellite Environmental Processing System (SATEPS) contract, and Operational Meteorologist.

Brian Hughes, PMP, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. In addition to their academic background, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. These certifications include the AWS Business Professional Accreditation, AWS TCO and Cloud Economics Accreditation, and AWS Technical Professional Accreditation, all obtained in March 2018. Brian also holds the ITIL v3 Intermediate - Service Operations certification obtained in October 2014, and the ITIL v3 Foundations certification obtained in September 2012. Furthermore, Brian Hughes has achieved the prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, earned in March 2012.
