Alexander Rouse has worked as a software engineer since 2017. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Relay and Republic Wireless, where they developed core business Android applications and maintained and improved Voip, SMS/MMS, Voicemail, etc. functionality. Prior to that, they held various roles at North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2016. Alexander was an Undergraduate Research Assistant working under Dr. Tiffany Barnes and graduate student Alex Milliken, developing a game with the Unity game engine to teach algebra concepts to young students. Alexander was also a Teaching Assistant for CSC 226 (Discrete Mathematics) under Dr. Tiffany Barnes and CSC 116 (Intro to Java) under Dr. Suzanne Balik. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant with BJC curriculum, developing tools for computer science education through games and outreach.
