Roger Blokland started their work experience in 1996 as an Energy Consultant at Tebodin, where they worked on projects related to energy consumption and generation. Roger then moved on to various roles at Croda, including Product Manager and Sales Manager, where they were responsible for renewable chemical and lubricant ingredient sales. In 2010, they joined BioMCN as a Business Development/Biomass Sourcing Manager, focusing on new product development and strategic projects. Subsequently, they worked at Honeywell as a Sr. Business Development Manager for Renewables EMEA, overseeing marketing and sales of renewable fuels and technologies. From 2018 to 2020, they served as Sr. Business Development Manager for the Biorizon program at TNO, developing high-performance bio-aromatics from biomass residues. Currently, they are the CEO and co-founder of Relement, a renewable chemical company that develops high-performance bio-aromatics for coatings and other applications.
Roger Blokland completed their education at the Delft University of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from 1989 to 1995. Roger further pursued higher education at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where they obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Management between 2007 and 2008.
