Chris Crawford

Christiane (Chris) has over 30 years of experience in the ed tech market with a very successful track record for building strategies that drive predictable growth and profitability, building high-performing leadership teams, and for tightly orchestrating operations across the enterprise to achieve business objectives. Prior to joining Relevance Ventures, Chris served as the CEO at Schoolwires, Inc., a VC-backed company that was acquired by Blackboard, Inc. in 2015. Under Chris’s leadership, Schoolwires was named on the Inc.500/5000 list of fastest-growing, privately held companies for nine consecutive years. Prior to joining Schoolwires, Chris served as President and COO of AcademyOne, Inc.--a startup ed tech company. She served in multiple executive roles at Sungard Higher Education (formerly SCT, Inc.) in major operational areas of the ERP business including product development, marketing, product management, business development, M&A, product/services innovation, and professional services.

Chris currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of QLER Telepsychiatry, Inc. and as a Director for ProNvest, Inc., both portfolio companies of Relevance Ventures. Chris also serves on the Board of Directors for ClassCraft, Inc.

Chris earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree with honors from Central Michigan University.
