Eddie Rivera has a diverse work experience across various roles and organizations. Eddie started their career at the Nevada Army National Guard in 2011 as the RNCC Network Controller, where they deployed to Kandahar Afghanistan and handled network control at the Division Level. In 2012, they worked as a Network Administrator at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Eddie then joined Mary Bartsas Enterprises / Charitable Foundation in 2009 as a Systems/Network Administrator, where they implemented cost-effective solutions and upgraded the network infrastructure. In 2016, Eddie worked at the Nevada Army National Guard as the TF TQ S6 NCOIC OIR 16-17, providing full spectrum support for a Task Force team. Eddie also served as the Platoon Sergeant and SR. Netops NCO, leading and training soldiers and distributing information. From 2013 to 2018, Eddie worked at ReliaQuest, starting as a Solutions Engineer and then transitioning to the role of DevOps Engineer and Cloud Network Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Network Engineer at ReliaQuest.
Eddie Rivera obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Network Operations and Security from Western Governors University from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute in Las Vegas from 2008 to 2010. In 2007 and 2008, Eddie attended Central Georgia Technical College at the Stead Training Site. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Ethical Hacker from EC Counsel in November 2016, Security+ from CompTIA in February 2016, Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) from Cisco in May 2013, and Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing and Switching) from Cisco in June 2013.
