Hans Visser

Hans Visser is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in managing financial operations within the publishing industry. Since January 2001, Hans has served as the Finance Director for Elsevier’s Science, Technology & Medical Journals division, overseeing a global team and a portfolio of approximately 3000 research journals with revenue exceeding $1 billion. Prior to this role, Hans held various positions, including Finance Director for Elsevier's Science & Technology Journals and Finance Manager at Stichting Pensioenfonds Elsevier Ondernemingen. Hans also contributed to the investment management of a significant pension fund as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Investment Committee. Earlier career experience includes consultancy at Ikon Beleidskonsulenten and management reporting at The David J. Joseph Company. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Economics and Business Economics from the University of Groningen and a brief educational stint at the University of Glasgow.
