Shelly Joseph-Dixon has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shelly started their professional career as an Assessor at Cathsseta in 1997 and continued to work in that role until 2014. In between, they worked as a Training Manager at Foundation Outsource Services and as an Assistant GM & F & B manager at Marion on Nicol. In 2014, they worked briefly as a Training Designer at Sage Pastel Payroll and as an Ex instructional designer for some time before joining Empact Group as a Function Coordinator and later moved to TSAfrika as a Function Coordinator / Catering Manager. Shelly worked as a Freelance Training and Development Professional at ISIS Training and Consultancy from 2020 until 2022. Shelly then joined Oyster as a Hiring Success Associate until January 2023. Currently, they work as a Customer Success Manager at Remofirst since June 2023.
Shelly Joseph-Dixon has a long history of pursuing education in hospitality management and culinary studies. Shelly first attended King David Linksfield from 1987 to 1992 and obtained their Matric degree. Afterward, they attended Wits Hotel School from 1995 to 1997 where they earned their NDip Catering Management degree. Shelly also completed four Bachelor of Technology - BTech degrees in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of Johannesburg from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, they obtained a Btech hospitality management degree from the same university. Most recently, in 2020 to 2021, they completed a Higher National Diploma in Occupational education and training practitioner through Very Cool Ideas.
