Andrew Johnston

Andrew Johnston has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Andrew started their career at MedStar Health as a Software Engineer, where they gained expertise in developing frontend and backend modules using JavaScript and Java Spring framework. Andrew designed user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap to build Single Page Applications. Additionally, they created dynamically changing websites using JavaScript/Typescript and Node.

Later on, Andrew joined Avery Products Corporation as a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, where they utilized their skills in Angular/Typescript and Java/Spring to design and develop both front-end and back-end systems for customer configuration tools. Andrew collaborated with technical leads, project managers, and business analysts to enhance the website's functionality and user interface.

Currently, Andrew is working as a Full Stack Web Developer at Remotely.works. In this role, they plan, initiates, and executes various projects in collaboration with clients. Andrew identifies user and system requirements for new websites and applications and prioritizes software development projects while serving as the senior full-stack web developer.

Andrew Johnston obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Towson University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including Sololearn Course Certificates in Angular + Nest, C#, PHP, and React + Redux, as well as TestDome Certificates in Angular RxJs, Java, Javascript and Node, React Redux, Typescript, and Vue (Hard). Andrew also holds certifications from HackerRank in JavaScript and Problem Solving, which were obtained in June 2022.
