Rhiannon Tobeck

Rhiannon Tobeck has extensive experience in the field of arts education. Rhiannon is currently employed at Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts, where they serve as the Director of Arts and Technology, overseeing the Arts Integration and Skills-based Arts programs. In addition, they coordinate curriculum development and instruction delivery for the arts, physical education, and library departments. Rhiannon is also responsible for administering arts and cultural programs, including the after-school Encore program.

Prior to their current role, Rhiannon worked as a Visual Art Teacher at Renaissance Academy, where they taught kindergarten through fourth grade. Rhiannon focused on integrating visual arts into other subjects such as science, math, and ELA. Before that, they were an Art Teacher at Red Creek Central School District, teaching middle and high school art courses and serving as an adviser for the art club and yearbook.

Rhiannon gained practical experience as a student teacher at Webster Central School District and Brockport Central School District.

Rhiannon Tobeck began their education at the State University of New York at Oswego in 2008, where they completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art in 2012. Rhiannon then pursued a Master's of Science in Teaching degree with a focus on Art Teacher Education at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2013. Currently, Rhiannon is enrolled at Stony Brook University, working towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their academic degrees, Rhiannon has obtained additional certifications related to their field. These include a Professional Visual Art Teaching Certification and a Visual Art Initial Certification.
