Gilles Hermer

Gilles Hermer serves as the VP of Engineering at Renault Group since January 2023, focusing on BOP Challenge and Monozukuri. Prior to this role, Gilles held the position of Chief Vehicle Engineer at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi from July 2015 to December 2022, overseeing the engineering development of the Renault TALISMAN and RSM SM6. Gilles' extensive tenure at Renault from January 1993 to June 2015 included various leadership roles, such as Quality Department General Manager, Engineering Project Manager for Electric Vehicles, and Engineering Team Leader, where significant responsibilities encompassed project management, quality improvement, and international development. Gilles began a career as a Research Engineer at Sagem in 1991 and holds engineering degrees from ECAM and emlyon business school.
