Doug Lenhart

Doug Lenhart serves as Vice President, Procurement for Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG). As a member of REG's senior leadership team, Mr. Lenhart contributes to strategic business decisions for the North American and European markets. He oversees purchasing of feedstock and chemicals, sales of co-products, and the various transportation methods REG uses. Mr. Lenhart provides oversight and metrics to ensure the performance of all these activities, additionally looking for continuous improvement.

Mr. Lenhart has over 30 years of broad business background where he accepted senior leadership in Multinational Integrated Agriculture, Top 5 U.S. Commercial Banking, International Commodity Risk Management, and the Global Energy Sector. Mr. Lenhart has expertise in several areas including operations, agribusiness, commercial finance, fuels and chemicals, transportation, and logistics. His direct operations leadership has extended beyond the U.S. to Canada, Mexico, Asia, South America, and Europe.

Mr. Lenhart received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from Illinois State University and his MBA from Iowa State University. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Iowa Biodiesel Board, the Executive Advisory Board of the Iowa State University MBA Program, the Ames, Iowa Economic Development Commission, and the Iowa Rural Equity Project, along with multiple industry associations. He also helps with numerous youth sports organizations and the Lutheran Church of Hope (Ames, IA).
