Civil Engineer at Renewable Energy Systems

Antonis Poulakis has a diverse work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Antonis started their career as a Trainee Civil Engineer at a local civil engineering firm in 2007, where they gained experience in various projects within the building construction industry. Antonis used software for architecture and structural design, assessed and calculated construction costs, and supervised and checked the progress of works on site. Antonis worked in this role until 2009.

In 2010, Antonis worked as a Trainee Surveyor at S&B Industrial Minerals for a brief period.

Antonis then joined Coffey Construction in 2017 as a Site Engineer, where they worked until 2019.

From 2019 to 2020, Antonis worked as a Project Engineer at WGM Engineering Ltd.

Currently, they hold the position of Project Engineer at RES since November 2020.

Antonis Poulakis has a diverse education history. In 2020, they attended the University of Cambridge for a short course in Business Sustainability Management. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Antonis'sacademic journey began in 2006, when they enrolled at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete. Antonis completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Antonis has obtained several certifications. These include "Project management: the start of the project journey" and "Statement of participation in Commercial awareness" from The Open University, both obtained in May 2020. Antonis also became a Graduate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in February 2020. Antonis holds an SVQ in Construction Site Management (Construction): Building and Civil Engineering Level 9, obtained from ICE in October 2019. Furthermore, they have completed various training courses, such as "Hydrostatic Pressure Testing Training" from TECHNICAL INNOVATION SERVIS LIMITED in July 2018, "Street Works Training Course" from McCrae Training Ltd in March 2017, and "Site Management Safety Training Scheme" from CITB in August 2017.

Antonis has also acquired additional qualifications and skills relevant to their field. Antonis obtained a CSCS Card from CITB in March 2017, completed a First Aid course with the British Red Cross in June 2018, and gained expertise in Medium Risk Confined Space from McCrae Training Ltd in October 2017. Antonis has undergone training in Temporary Works Co-ordination with SJG Group Ltd in September 2019 and received a comprehensive overview of the Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy Scheme from McCrae Training Ltd.

It is important to note that there is one certification listed without specific information regarding the month and year of acquisition, namely "Distribution Operations Maintenance Strategy Scheme Overview" from McCrae Training Ltd.
