Conor McKinnon

Technical Performance Engineer at Renewable Energy Systems

Conor McKinnon has a strong background in technical performance engineering and machine learning in wind turbine operations and maintenance. Conor has experience as a Technical Performance Engineer at RES, where they currently work. Prior to that, they were a PHD Student at the Wind and Marine Energy Systems CDT, focusing on implementing machine learning techniques to enhance wind turbine O&M. Conor also worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Edinburgh, and as an Intern at the University of Glasgow, where they designed and 3D printed small optical mounts for lab experiments.

Conor McKinnon completed their education in a chronological order. Between the years 2011 and 2016, they attended the University of Glasgow where they pursued a degree in Physics. Following their time at the University of Glasgow, from 2016 to 2017, Conor attended the University of Strathclyde where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Wind Energy Systems.
