Senior Technical Asset Manager - Solar at Renewable Energy Systems

Isaac Gómez Mesa's work experience includes various roles in the renewable energy industry. Isaac is currently working as a Technical Asset Manager - Solar at RES since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Quintas Energy as a Senior Engineer from January 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they oversaw construction management, asset management, and O&M services in Australia. Isaac also supervised contractor performance and coordinated generator registration with regulatory bodies.

Isaac also worked at ELECNOR as a Site Engineer at Bungala Solar Farm from September 2017 to January 2019. In this role, they supervised the construction and commissioning of the solar farm and ensured compliance with technical specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Before their time at ELECNOR, they held roles at Quintas Energy as a Senior Engineer from August 2016 to September 2017 and as an Associate Engineer from February 2015 to July 2016. In these positions, they monitored and analyzed PV plants through SCADAS, performed data analysis and calculated KPIs to optimize plant performance. Isaac also managed incidents to ensure smooth plant operations.

Isaac's early experience includes an internship at Universidade Federal do Ceará, where they focused on solar thermal energy and conducted a Master's thesis on the design and efficiency of a Conical Solar Concentrator. This experience served as their first step into the solar power field.

Isaac Gómez Mesa obtained a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering and Energy Systems from the Universidad de Sevilla from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, they also completed an English Course at LONDON Bromley College. As part of a scholarship gained through Santander Universities International Exchange, they attended the Federal University of Ceara from 2012 to 2013. In addition, they received a Seneca Exchange Scholarship to study at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena from 2011 to 2012.

Isaac Gómez Mesa also attained several additional certifications. In September 2015, they completed a Security System Management-PV plants course at Prosegur. In July 2015, they obtained a Labour Risks Prevention Course (50h) from Grupo MPE. Furthermore, in December 2014, they earned a First Certificate from Cambridge University Press.
