Richard Batty

Richard Batty has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Richard started their career in 1998 at BICC Supertension cables Ltd, where they worked in the projects unit handling inquiries regarding cable system installation and design, with a focus on cable system bonding and earthing.

In 2000, they moved to ALSTOM T&D as an Electrical Engineer in the Studies Group, working on various electrical engineering projects until 2003.

From 2003 to 2006, Batty worked at Econnect Ltd as an Electrical Engineer, before joining SSE plc in 2007 as an Electrical Engineer. Richard worked at SSE plc for five years, specializing in electrical engineering tasks.

In 2012, Batty joined RES Group as an Electrical Power Systems Engineer, where they continue to work.

Richard Batty completed their education in two prestigious universities. Richard attended Newcastle University from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Later, from 1993 to 2000, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nottingham.
