Rita Somide has held various roles in the past decade. In 2011, they worked as a Secretary/ Desk Help for Muyideen and Co Construction Company, where they were responsible for attending to customers, receiving and making calls, ensuring that clients get their goods delivered in perfect condition, receiving and sending corporate emails, and organizing the M.D. In 2014, they worked as a Social Secretary for the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, where they were responsible for planning and coordinating the Association's events, organizing the Departmental Annual Week, and making sure that members of the Association maintain a healthy social life style while on campus. In 2017, they worked as an Educator for Christ Evidence Group of Schools, Kabba during their mandatory 1 year youth service program (NYSC). In 2018, they worked for Jumia Nigeria as an Inbound Customer Care Representative and a Telesales Graduate Agent. In 2020, they worked as a Customer Service Specialist for TheMap.Ng, where they were responsible for answering phones from customers professionally, responding to customer inquiries and complaints, and researching required information using available resources. Finally, in 2022, they are currently working as an Account Manager/ Customer Experience Officer for Rentsmallsmall Inc.
Rita Somide attended Abeokuta Grammar School from 2006 to 2012, where they obtained a WAEC in Arts/ Humanities. Rita then attended the University of Ibadan from 2012 to 2016, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and African Languages. In August 2022, they obtained an EF SET Certificate from EF Standard English Test (EF SET). Additionally, in March 2022, they obtained a Certificate to Teach English as a Foreign Language (CTEFL) from Teacher Record.
