In 2019, they were a Video Course Teacher for How to Make a Programming Language, where they created an extensive video course on YouTube to teach people how to create a programming language on their own. Toby was also an Open-Source Software Developer for Nearley.js, where they contributed implementation of user-friendly parser error messages. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Lead Instructor at DigitalCrafts, where they taught computer programming to people from different walks of life. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Software Consultant at Finsync and Quasar Blu for Prospect Consulting Inc. From 2011 to 2013, they were an Open-Source Software Developer for Test'em JavaScript Test Runner and a Computer Scientist at Adobe. Toby Ho obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002 and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2003.
