Tamara Nameroff

Vice President of Sustainability and Executive Adviser at rePurpose Global

Tamara Nameroff has had an extensive career in sustainability and environmental policy. Tamara began their career in 1996 as a Congressional Fellow in the Office of U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, sponsored by the Geological Society of America. In 1998, they moved to The White House as Climate Change Task Force Coordinator for the President's Council on Sustainable Development. From 1999 to 2008, Tamara worked at the American Chemical Society in various roles, including Interim Director of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute and Director of International Activities. From 2008 to 2022, they held several roles at Shell, including General Manager of Policy and Advocacy for Downstream and Renewables, General Manager of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Assurance, and Manager of Environmental and Product Health. Most recently, Tamara joined rePurpose Global as Vice President of Sustainability and Executive Adviser, where they develop innovation strategy and introduces new products and services to encourage Consumer and Packaged Goods brands to take action on plastic packaging and waste.

Tamara Nameroff received their BA in Chemistry from Carleton College. Tamara then went on to obtain their MBA in Technology Innovation and Strategic Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Finally, they earned their PhD in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry from the University of Washington.
