Philip T. has over 20 years of experience in media and communications. Philip began their career in 2001 as a Website Editor for Arizona Local Media, where they helped launch and manage the website for the second-largest daily newspaper in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Philip wrote breaking news reports, and posted news, images, video, and multimedia content on the website, leveraging knowledge of social media and SEO to build traffic and audiences. In 2010, Philip moved to Burlington Free Press as a Digital Editor, where they were responsible for overseeing the newspaper's online and social media publishing, news reporting, and posting news, video, and multimedia content to digital sites. Philip managed brand social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and substantially grew digital traffic and audiences for the website and social media accounts. In 2016, Philip took a role as Communications Director for the State of Vermont, where they were responsible for overseeing various communications, public relations, and marketing initiatives. Theirwork included distributing press releases, generating earned media coverage of Vermont, serving as media point of contact for the department, drafting consumer and industry newsletters, managing social media accounts, and executing advertising campaigns. In 2021, Philip moved to SafeGuard Cyber as a Community Outreach Manager, where they managed content production and publishing for a wide range of marketing initiatives for the cybersecurity company, including website copy, blogs, whitepapers, e-books, sales enablement content, and newsletters. Philip also oversaw agency public relations and earned media activity for company news coverage, and grew affiliations, partnerships, and social media to increase SafeGuard Cyber's presence in the cybersecurity community. Philip is currently a Media Specialist at REQ, where they manage public relations, media outreach, and marketing campaigns for a diverse set of clients spanning across multiple verticals, including fintech, cybersecurity, venture capital, and satellite communications technology. Theirresponsibilities include press release writing and distribution, pitching, social media management, executive thought leadership article writing, and website content creation for brands.
Philip T. attended Arizona State University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Broadcasting with a Minor in History.
