Thomas Wagner

Thomas Wagner is an experienced outdoor leadership professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an instructor at Landmark Learning and Southwestern Community College since 2020 and 2014 respectively, Thomas teaches various courses including Methods of Experiential Education and Outdoor Leadership for Special Populations. Additionally, Thomas has guided rafting trips on the French Broad River with Blue Heron Whitewater since 2008 and holds multiple instructor roles in adventure education, including Canopy Ranger at Adventure Center of Asheville and Whitewater Rescue Technician instructor at Rescue 3 International. Previous experience includes leadership positions at North Carolina Outward Bound and extensive guiding experience at Nantahala Outdoor Center. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Experiential Education from Prescott College.
