Timothy Dowling has an extensive career as a trombonist and educator, currently serving as a trombonist at Anima Eterna since September 2009 and as a Professor of Trombone at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague since 2005. Additionally, Timothy holds the position of Solotrombonist and Chairman of the Artistic Committee with the Residentie Orkest/The Hague Philharmonic since 1988. Previous experience includes Associate Principal Trombone with the Sydney Symphony from 1986 to 1988 and Principal Trombone with both the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra (1982-1986) and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (1981-1982). Timothy's early career also featured work as 2nd Trombone with Orchestra Victoria from 1979 to 1981. The educational background includes a Diploma in Music from the Victorian College of the Arts, completed between 1977 and 1979.
