Consuelo Herrera has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Consuelo began their career as a Lawyer at the Agencia de Cooperación Internacional de Chile (AGCI) in 2001, where they reviewed the legality of administrative acts, prepared agreements with foreign governmental bodies, and organized contests to allocate foreign resources.
In 2007, they joined the Dirección de Contratación y Compras Públicas (Chilecompra) as a Lawyer, responsible for major government tender processes. Consuelo provided legal advice in tender document preparation, evaluations, and contracts, and collaborated with other public sector organizations and private sector representatives to modify procurement regulations.
From 2010 to 2018, Consuelo served as the Chief of Staff and Legal Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Chile to the OECD. Consuelo'sresponsibilities included overseeing environmental strategy, water and energy management, climate change initiatives, public integrity, continuous improvement, citizen participation, and legal representation for environmental protection matters.
Concurrently, Consuelo became a Professor in the Diploma Program for Integrated Wetland Management and Territorial Planning at the Universidad de Chile in December 2021, where they taught until April 2023.
Currently, Consuelo is working as the Gerente de Auditoría y Compliance at ReSimple, a position they assumed in April 2023.
