Lillian Wavering, PE, is an experienced Tailings & Water Engineer at Rio Tinto, where responsibilities include serving as the Responsible Dam Engineer for Resolution Copper's tailings storage facilities, ensuring compliance with GISTM standards through gap analyses. Lillian has also held roles as a Senior Dam Engineer, acting Engineering Superintendent, and Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, contributing to various engineering teams by creating water balance models and monitoring geotechnical conditions. Prior experiences include a Geotechnical Engineering internship at MWH (now part of Stantec), civil engineering intern at the Bureau of Reclamation, and mentorship roles at the Colorado School of Mines.
