Peter Baker

Peter Baker has a strong background in actuarial work, starting as an intern at Deloitte Australia in 2004. Peter then progressed through various roles within the company, eventually becoming a Director in 2015. In 2017, they joined AMP as the Deputy Chief Actuary, where they later transitioned to Resolution Life after it took over AMP Life in 2020. At Resolution Life, they continued in an actuarial leadership role, overseeing pricing, projects, and actuarial advice for Australia and New Zealand. Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated expertise in risk management, financial projections, valuations, and model governance within the financial services sector.

Peter Baker attended Canberra Grammar School from 1989 to 2001, where they completed their HSC. Peter then pursued a BActS degree in Actuarial, Finance, and Computing at The Australian National University from 2002 to 2005. Finally, they became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia after studying Life Insurance at the Institute of Actuaries of Australia from 2006 to 2008.
