Richard Catton

Rich is responsible for capital and performance management for the group, delivering opportunities to optimise the capital performance of the business and managing and reporting to group key metrics.

Immediately prior to joining Resolution, Rich worked in the private equity and family office space, identifying and providing structuring and transactional advice on European insurance transactions and capital optimisation opportunities. He also advised on the successful acquisition of a large Bermudian based global insurance company.

Rich began his career at Tillinghast (which is now Willis Towers Watson), where he qualified as an actuary and worked across Europe advising on M&As, capital management and embedded value reporting. He was based on Paris for one year, supporting the development of the insurance team.

Rich studied economics at the University of Nottingham, graduating with first class honours and is a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
