Ski Floyd H Chilton has a diverse work experience in the fields of nutrition, physiology, and pharmacology. In 1986, they started their career as an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where their research focused on lipid metabolism and its impact on inflammatory and allergic disorders, with a particular emphasis on the lung. (Ski) Floyd H then joined Pilot Therapeutics in 2001, where they served as the President and CEO, overseeing the testing and development of medical foods for the management of asthma, allergies, and arthritis. At GeneSmart, from 2009 to 2016, Dr. Chilton worked as a Senior Consultant, providing nutrition and wellness content and advice to consumers, and collaborated with the company on the design of nutritional products. (Ski) Floyd H later joined Wake Forest Baptist Health, where they held the position of Professor of Physiology/Pharmacology and Cancer Biology for 26 years, until 2018. During this time, they also conducted research on precision nutrition and wellness as the Director of the Center for Precision Nutrition & Wellness at the University of Arizona. Currently, Dr. Chilton is also the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Resonance Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. (Ski) Floyd H Chilton completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry from Western Carolina University from 1977 to 1980. (Ski) Floyd H then pursued further education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from 1980 to 1984. Following this, they enrolled in a Post Doctoral Fellowship program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, specializing in Pharmacology, from 1984 to 1986.
