Michael McCoy has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance. Michael started their career in 2011 as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Mound Laser & Photonics Center, Inc. There, they managed inspection processes and led validation protocol and report writing for OEM medical device companies. Michael also conducted data analysis and recommended changes for production readiness activities.
In 2014, McCoy joined Gleason Corporation as a Quality Engineer. In this role, they served as a project manager, quality engineer, and ISO management representative. Michael was responsible for CAPA, continual improvement, and audit leadership.
In 2017, McCoy started working at Resonetics as a Quality Systems Engineer. Michael later advanced to the role of Senior Quality Systems & Regulatory Compliance Engineer. In 2021, they became a Quality Manager and, in 2023, they were promoted to Director of Quality.
Additionally, in 2017, McCoy briefly worked at CoorsTek Medical as a Quality Control Supervisor.
Michael McCoy attended Western Michigan University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology. Prior to that, they attended Spring Arbor University from 2006 to 2008, focusing on Exercise Sports Science. Michael also obtained additional certifications including ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS) from BSI in 2018, ISO13485:2003 Auditor Training for Medical Devices from CALISO in 2011, and Bioscience Manufacturing Technology from Sinclair Community College in 2010.
