Yang Yang

Yang Yang is a passionate data scientist who is currently the director at Respond. Yang has previously worked as a senior data scientist at Alignment Healthcare and a data science manager at GNS Healthcare. At Alignment Healthcare, they led key AI projects focused on improving healthcare quality for the elder population. At GNS Healthcare, they worked on a project to optimize care management interventions for Cigna Insurance. This project was successfully delivered within 5 months and secured GNS the Series D fund led by Cigna Ventures.

Yang Yang has a professional education in data science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Yang also has a Ph.D in biostatistics and data science from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Additionally, they have a master's degree in bioinformatics from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis and a bachelor's degree in biology/biological sciences from Nanjing Agricultural University. Yang also has two certifications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in data science and tackling the challenges of big data.
